Philosophy

At Little Stars Academy, we strive to provide a fun and learning environment for all the children who are in our care. Our goal is to be the preschool where children are eager to come and learn every morning, and parents will feel confident that their children are in a safe, secure and fun learning environment.

Creating a safe and nurturing environment, where children develop at their own pace is our dedication. Children need to feel confident in order to learn and grow. We work towards acquiring a fun and positive atmosphere by treating each child with love and respect.

Our school is Developmentally appropriate/play-based

Developmentally appropriate (or play-based)  The primary principle is to promote participation in age-appropriate activities, such as unstructured hands-on play, group story-time, and themed activities. Kids are encouraged to learn through play, though some have added more academic content in response to demand.

About Miss Jennifer

Jennifer Monroy is the Director and Owner of Little Stars Academy preschool.  All her life since she can remember she has had the passion for teaching young minds. She feels fortunate that she has been able to turn that passion into a career.  She attended Citrus College, where she earned her 24 Early Childhood Education units.

She has a of total of 17 years of experience working in the preschool field, and after 13 years working for other people, She decided to open her own home daycare. At her home daycare, she started with the small family license, and a year after she applied and obtained the large family license. With the large license, she had a max capacity of 14 kids, which she ended up reaching its capacity. The need for good and quality child daycare in the area contributed to her home daycare to be to its max capacity in a very rapid manner, and this led to a growing waiting list which is one of the reasons that inspired her to take a bigger step and open a Preschool Center.
